High-speed Train Catches Fire in East China

A high-speed train caught on fire in east China's Anhui Province on Thursday, but no casualties were reported after firefighters acted quickly to extinguish the blaze.

The incident occurred in Dingyuan County of Chuzhou City. Local firefighters said they received reports of the fire shortly after noon and dispatched three fire engines and 17 firefighters to tackle the blaze.

Firefighters arrived at the site within 30 minutes and found the second carriage of high-speed train G281 ablaze, though no passengers were by then on-board the train, which was bound for the city of Hangzhou in east China's Zhejiang Province.
