According to Reuters, teachers in Los Angeles will continue to strike through Jan. 22nd.
A teacher's strike in LA extended into its second week on Jan. 21st, which also marked its sixth day.
But a fifth day of contract negotiations also took place, though teachers continue to strike.
The teacher's union said that members will still need time to vote on the outcome of those negotiations, before a deal can be finalized.
It is the first teacher's strike in 30 years for the Los Angeles community, which is the country’s second-largest school district.
