Trump wants China, others to join new nuclear treaty

Although U.S. President Donald Trump blames Russia and others for the U.S. decision to withdraw from the INF treaty, it's the U.S. who’s leading the global arms race. In August last year, Trump signed a 716 billion U.S. dollar National Defense Authorization Act into law. It is the largest hike in military funding in nine years – and it is more than the defense spending of China and Russia combined. Research shows the world's nuclear-armed states possess a combined total of roughly 15,000 nuclear warheads.
