Former top FBI official Andrew McCabe called US President Donald Trump's dealings with the FBI a “relentless attack” in an interview with NPR’s Morning Edition aired early Monday. Reuters reports McCabe is currently promoting his new memoir titled “The Threat: How the FBI Protects America in the Age of Terrorism and Trump.” In the interview, McCabe said Trump’s "attack" is one of the reasons he wrote his book. McCabe also denied news reports that anyone in the Justice Department had made a serious effort to remove the president. McCabe was dismissed from the FBI in March 2018. On Thursday, Trump called McCabe on Twitter a leaker and a “disgrace to the FBI.”
