Sen. Bernie Sanders has officially announced his run for the presidency in 2020. On Tuesday morning, Sanders shared his plans to run first with Vermont Public Radio early. Business Insider reports Sanders, who is from Vermont, was asked if he believes he continues to be the right person to be the "face of the new Democratic party" even though he's aged and facing a diverse field of candidates. Sanders, 77, says he still has a lot of energy and hopes voters will look at the "totality of who I am." Sanders states, "I think we have got to try to move us toward a non-discriminatory society which looks at people based on their abilities, based on what they stand for."
