CNN reports that Prince William spoke openly about losing his mother, Princess Diana.
Diana was killed in a car accident in Paris in 1997, after her driver tried to escape pursuing paparazzi.
William, who was 15 at the time, says that he felt pain like no other.
He explains his feelings in a new BBC documentary that includes famous soccer players, called "Royal Team Talk," which focuses on mental health.
He says, "You know that in your life it's going to be very difficult to come across something that's going to be even worse pain than that..."
Despite macho stereotypes, The Duke of Cambridge calls for greater openess on emotional wellness. He also encourages people-- especially British men, to talk comfortably about their mental health issues.
He adds, "We've got to relax a little bit, and be able to talk about our emotions, because we're not robots."
