The Chicago White Sox are officially the first club in Major League Baseball to implement netting that extends all the way to the foul poles. Due to a rash of recent severe injuries at games, especially involving young fans, some teams are trying to make attending the ballpark a safer experience. Most teams have safety netting that goes to the end of the dugout but some feel it isn’t enough while others are heavily against it.
