Germany: Auto enthusiasts brave snow for performance car gathering

Published on 29 Mar 2013, 20:16
Nearly 2,000 die hard motoring fans gathered in Nuerburgring, Germany for the annual Good Friday tuning event. Tricked out cars, both foreign and domestic, rode into the race track amid fresh snowfall. Unfortunately for the petrol heads, German traffic authorities ruled the track too slippery for any vehicles, putting a ban on stunts and races.

Due to heavy snow and uninviting weather conditions, many of the highest regarded autos did not arrive at Nuerburgring on Friday. Attendees at the unofficial 'start of the season' gathering were restricted to drooling over the cool vehicles that did arrive. In order to stay warm, gatherers lit fires and drank alcohol.
