All other experiences –- from parking the car to ordering a beer –- are arranged around a central event that everybody knows about and does not need to mention. That’s what it’s like in Scotland now. With just eight days to go until the referendum that could break up the UK forever, #Indyref –- if you want to follow it via hashtag –- is the only game in town. On Tuesday, Britain’s three main political party leaders headed up from London to make a last ditch plea to Scotland’s 5.3 million people not to leave. But it’s going to be tough. Last weekend, for the first time, an opinion poll put those voting Yes for independence in the lead.
