Several demonstrators were physically removed by police following their failed attempt of crossing the fence surrounding the Polish Parliament in Warsaw, Wednesday, as thousands of people protested outside the building in support of those opposition MPs who delayed the parliament's opening.

Among the demonstrators were also members of the Committee for the Defence of Democracy (KOD), a civic organisation that does not align to any political party.

SOT, Meteusz Kiwoski, leader of the Committee for the Defence of Democracy (KOD), (Polish): "We do not let them take away from us this air that is democracy. We do not let them take away from us the Sejm [Parliament] of the Republic of Poland, free media and free speech. Freedom, equality, democracy."
