A Sheriff's Deputy killed over the weekend was remembered, exactly one year after he helped bring a life into the world. The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office says Sergeant Shawn Anderson was involved in a shootout with a suspect while he was conducting an investigation. He was shot and taken to the hospital where he died Saturday night. The department is remembering him for his service to the community.
