Racism and bigotry is unacceptable in all its forms, no matter where it comes from. In recent weeks the Labour party has had to deal with allegations of antisemitism. The left must root out this menace and Jeremy Corbyn has set up an inquiry, headed by Shami Chakrabarti, to help begin this process. The same cannot be said of the Conservative party and many rightwing commentators. In the past few weeks we've seen Zac Goldsmith's campaign for London Mayor being accused of dog-whistle racism, Boris Johnson's insulting 'half-Kenyan' comments on Barack Obama and Rod Liddle being his usual self in The Spectator. It's time the Conservatives and the right faced up to the problem.
