Students Give World Cup Hopefuls A Run For Their Money

The UK Armed Forces rugby league team have been at an intensive training camp at RAF Cranwell in preparation for the Forces World Cup in Australia. It’s the opportunity of a lifetime for the 25 players from the Army, Navy and RAF – and there’s no holding back as they aim for a place in the final squad to fly to Sydney at the end of June. On Wednesday they took on the English University students in the third match in their build-up. And while they may have won 22-10, they had to fight all the way - exactly the match head coach Damian Clayton wanted and expected. For more on forces sport, come to:
