Javelin world champion Julius Yego will be hoping to successfully defend his title on Saturday at the ongoing World championships in London. The 28-year-old threw a respectable 83.75m to gain automatic qualification for the final. It was Germany's Johannes Vetter, who showed intent to challenge for the title with a massive 91.20 in qualifying. Vetter is the world leader and his compatriot Thomas Rohler is the other favourite for top honours at the London Olympic staduim. Yego has not had a good start to the season with a 2017 best of 87metres. The Olympic silver medallist will be hoping to produce a magical throw like he did in Beijing two years ago to win gold.
