Hurricane Maria is the most powerful storm to impact Puerto Rico in almost a century. In addition to ripping through the territory, Maria also stirred up trouble on the islands of Dominica and Guadeloupe. According to Reuters, on Friday the death toll was 32 people, but is likely to rise throughout the day. Maria, the second hurricane to hit the Caribbean in September, not only caused a widespread power outage in Puerto Rico, but also brought dangerous winds and rain that killed people, destroyed houses and flooded streets. Reuters says that Maria is now headed towards Turks and Caicos.
