Laura Pidcock is one of Labour's new intake of MPs from the 2017 general election. Her maiden speech at Westminster went viral and she caused a storm in a tea cup when she suggested she wouldn't want to be friends with her Tory opponents because they're inflicting savage austerity on the UK.

I wanted to ask her about the media coverage of her statements but also about the effects of welfare reform on her constituents in North West Durham. She believes the Department of Work and Pensions is "a national disgrace" and says it has created a sense of fear and terror by treating those in need as criminals.
