YouTube's Double Standard: Demonetize Independent Creators, Monetize Old Media

YouTube has a double standard that they're refusing to address. When Casey Neistat posted a video about the Las Vegas tragedy—stating all of the ad revenue generated by it would go to charity—YouTube demonetized it, saying their "policy is to not run ads on videos about tragedies." However, they have yet to demonetize Jimmy Kimmel's video, who discussed the same exact topic. It's one of many examples that demonstrates YouTube is catering to old media and abandoning independent creators.
