The social order in the UK is broken, bankrupt and unjust and the housing crisis sums that up better than anything else. Home ownership is in a state of collapse, rip off rents leave tenants with little money to live their lives, housing benefit lines the pockets of private landlords and so-called 'affordable homes' are out of reach of the majority of people. We need to overhaul the system, investing in decent quality, comfortable council housing and help to build a new, fairer society.
