Palestinian protesters clashes with Israeli soldiers in the Old City of Hebron on Friday, as they marked the Twelfth Day of Rage.

Protesters set tyres alight and threw stones at the soldiers, who retaliated with tear gas.

The protest follows a string of demonstrations against US President Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Protesters also commemorated the 24th anniversary of the massacre at the Tomb of Patriarchs on Friday. In 1994, American-Israeli and member of the far right Kach movement opened fire on Palestinian Muslims who had gathered to pray at the Cave of the Patriarchs. The massacre claimed the lives of 29 people.
