Scott Pruitt Prepares To Overhaul The Way Science Is Used To Write Regulations

According to a report by Huffpost, EPA administrator Scott Pruitt plans to propose a new rule on Tuesday, overhauling the way science is used to write regulations at the agency. The Change is expected to disqualify a large number of peer-reviewed health research and give favor to industry-funded studies. As first reported by the Washington Post, the rule would deliver a change long sought after by conservatives who claim that "secret science" unfairly cripples industry. However, critics of the new proposal claim that it would block the agency from using traditional, peer-reviewed studies that rely on anonymity to collect data on personal health.
