According to ThinkProgress, “Amazon puts 7,000 jobs on hold because of a tax that would help Seattle’s homeless population.” With $130.8 billion in wealth, Amazon’s CEO, Jeff Bezos, is the richest human being on the planet; yet, his company doesn’t want to pay a fraction more in taxes to help Seattle’s homeless population. This comes after we learned they paid nothing in taxes in 2017.
