Since March 30, more than 1,000 children have been injured by Israeli forces in the besieged Gaza Strip during demonstrations, according to United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). Many of these wounds are severe and life-altering. UNICEF and its partners provided the Gaza Strip with two truck-loads of urgent medical supplies for approximately 70,000 people. On May 14, in the recent clashes between the Israel and Palestine at the Gaza Strip, at least 62 Palestinian demonstrators lost their lives and more than hundred were injured. Unidentified Palestinians were killed when Israeli soldiers opened fire at the eastern border of al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
