Voter turnout down ahead of midterms

According to Pew Research data, 40 million fewer Americans are expected to vote this year. The United States is behind two dozen countries when it comes to voter turnout. In 2016 only 55% of voters went to the polls. If it isn't apathy, then obstacles like voter ID laws, Tuesday voting and complicated voter registration rules are keeping Americans at home on Election Day.
