World-renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik created a sculpture dedicated to World Cup at his usual stomping ground of Puri Beach in Odisha State on Wednesday.

Six tonnes of sand were used by Pattnaik, who wanted to send message of 'peace and friendship' to participating nations. Something that will surely endure the sands of time.

The sculpture has taken part in more than 60 different championships and festivals of sand art.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup takes place in Russia from June 14 to July 15, 2018.
