The House of Commons suspended parliamentary business for five minutes in London on Thursday, as disorder erupted when the newly appointed UK Secretary of State for Exiting the EU Dominic Raab released the Brexit white paper.

Raab said that the white paper is "a new and detailed proposal for a principal, pragmatic and ambitious future partnership between the UK and EU," but his statement was interrupted by the opposition, when he mentioned "it will be made available as soon as is practically possible."

The white paper is being released shortly after the resignations of Boris Johnson as Foreign Secretary and David Davis as Brexit Secretary. The two front-benchers resigned in reaction to Prime Minister Theresa May's Brexit plan, known as Chequers, which she released last week.
