Killer potholes continue to claim more lives in Maharashtra. Another death has been reported due to killer potholes in Kalyan. The pothole-related death toll in Maharashtra has now reached five, which exposes Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s monsoon preparedness. Every year the civic body claims that it has made adequate arrangements for the monsoon season, but the story remains the same. Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis also claimed that number of potholes across the state have drastically gone down this year. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning for heavy rainfall across the state this weekend.
