Russia: Washington 'reluctant' to accept results of Trump-Putin summit - Ambassador Antonov

Russian envoy to the US Anatoly Antonov said that Moscow had not anticipated reluctance from US politicians to the the Helsinki summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart Donald Trump, speaking at the Valdai forum in Moscow on Friday.

Antonov offered a positive assessment of the outcome of the summit. According to him, the presidents discussed a number of important topics, including strategic stability, in particular arms controls. "I was very pleased that President Trump said the word 'non-proliferation'," Antonov noted.
