A federal judge said that the U.S. government has made “very promising” progress in reuniting some 2,500 immigrant children separated from their parents at the U.S.-Mexico border. At the end of a brief hearing, Judge Dana Sabraw said, “I’m very impressed with the effort being made." The government has six days left to comply with the reunification order by Judge Sabraw. Since Sabraw’s order was issued more than three weeks ago, 364 children aged 5 and older have been reunited.
