Kerala: Incessant rains force authorities to open three shutters of Idukki Dam

Incessant torrential rain in several parts of Kerala has worsened the situation in many parts of state. Water level in Idukki Dam rose to its full storage level of 2403 foot. Authorities have opened three shutters after water in the reservoir rose to more than 2399 ft. Heavy rains lashing the Ernakulam district forced authorities to advance the opening of the Idamalayar dam on Thursday morning. Authorities have issued red alert in many parts of Kerala.
