J&K: Restoration work is underway in cloudburst hit Saboo village in Leh

Restoration work is being carried out in Leh’s Saboo village after cloudburst and flash floods hit the village. Government authorities, police and volunteers reached the spot immediately to help the locals clear the debris from their houses. Avny Lavasa, Deputy Commissioner of Leh said that the administration got the information about heavy rain. SDRF and the police team were deployed in time to restore the place. Restoration work could not possible because of the visibility problem, so the work had to start early morning to provide immediate relief in the water supply. Rehabilitation camps have been set up for the affected families where all the essential services are being provided and being monitored by the administration. There is no loss of life reported so far.
