SOT, Margarita Simonyan, RT Editor-in-Chief (Russian): "You called me on your mobile phone and told me that you're Ruslan Boshirov and Alexander Petrov. Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov. There is a striking resemblance between you and the people in the photos and videos that the British security services released. Who are you really?"

SOT, Alexander Petrov (Russian): "We are the people they showed."

SOT, Ruslan Boshirov (Russian): "Ruslan Boshirov."

Petrov: "Alexander Petrov.

Simonyan: "Those are your real names?"

Petrov: "Those are our real names.”

Simonyan:”Honestly speaking, even as you speak about it now, you look quite tense

Petrov: “How would you look after everything….”

Boshirov: “Our lives have been turned upside down and ruined in the space of just one day.”

Simonyan: “That’s you in the recordings we’ve seen from London where you’re walking around in those well-known puffer jackets and trainers around Salisbury?”

Petrov: “Yes.”

Boshirov: “Yes that’s us.”

Simonyan: “What were you doing there?"

Petrov: “Our friends have been telling us for a long time to visit this beautiful city.”

Simonyan: “The beautiful town of Salisbury?

Petrov: “Yes.”

Boshirov: “Yes.”

Simonyan: “What’s so great about it?”

Boshirov: “There is a famous cathedral. Salisbury Cathedral. It’s not only famous throughout all of Europe, but the entire world. It’s 123 meters (404 foot) spire is famous, it’s also famous for its clock, the world’s oldest clock in existence.”

Simonyan: “So you went to Salisbury to see the clock.”

Petrov: “Of course not, from the very beginning we planned to go to London and take a trip out as they say. It was not a business trip. We planned it in such a way that we could visit London and Salisbury, in one day. But when we arrived, we didn’t think our plane would land on its first attempt, because in England on 3 and 4 [March], there was a total transport collapse in the UK.”
