Turkish President Erdogan Says Nation Cannot Remain Silent Over Missing Journalist

According to a report by Reuters, on Thursday, President Tayyip Erdogan was quoted as saying that Turkey cannot remain silent over the disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, adding that the country is investigating all aspects of the case. Khashoggi entered the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on Oct. 2nd to receive documents for his planned marriage. While Saudi officials say he left shortly afterwards, Turkish officials and Khashoggi's fiancee have said he never came out. Hurriyet newspaper originally reported that Erdogan also asked an important question, “Is it possible for there to be no camera systems at the Saudi Arabia consulate, where the event took place?"
