Dina Powell, a Goldman Sachs executive, has withdrawn her name from consideration to replace Nikki Haley. Haley announced her resignation as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations earlier this week. Powell, the former deputy national security adviser, had been seen as the White House's top pick for the job. Powell, who's a mother of two, hesitated at the amount of travel the U.N. post would entail. The people familiar with her decision said she strongly considered the potential offer, says Politico.
