WATCH: Durban thieves give up after relentless pursuit by security officers

Two suspected thieves were arrested by Marshall Security after they tried to steal a vehicle in Musgrave Road in Berea, Durban last Friday.

According to KZN police spokesperson, Colonel Thembeka Mbele the owner saw the suspects attempting to steal his vehicle and screamed for help before sending calling for help via a community WhatsApp group.

In a statement by the security company, officers were then alerted via a voice note with details of the suspects and description of their vehicle.

The suspects were spotted in the Greyville area and a pursuit ensued before they attempted to abandon their vehicle close to the Greyville Racecourse.

KZN Police have confirmed that two of the suspects were arrested by private security officers.

Charges of attempted theft of a motor vehicle are currently being investigated by the Berea SAPS. WATCH.
