Get ready for Christmas tree sticker shock! Prices are soaring because there's a tree shortage. Shawn Wilk has been selling Christmas trees for more than 40 years in Culver City, California. He blames the 2008 recession for higher prices this season, especially for the short supply of taller trees he’s experiencing. It takes about a decade to grow an eight foot high tree, but now many farmers can't wait that long so they're cutting them down early. Wilk says his prices are up 20 percent.
