SP-BSP Alliance Updates : Bua-Bhatija To Fight Together Against Modi In 2019

Published on 12 Jan 2019, 7:58
The Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) are set to announce an alliance in Uttar Pradesh for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. SP president Akhilesh Yadav and BSP chief Mayawati will hold a joint press meet in Lucknow to formally announce the tie-up shortly. The presser will be the first after the two parties gave broad contours of an electoral alliance ahead of the 2019 General Elections. Both the parties - Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) - are coming together after 26 years to fight against a resurgent Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Clearing his stand on an alliance with Congress, Akhilesh Yadav on Friday said the announcement will only be about SP-BSP alliance. The bua-bhatija duo are eyeing to challenge the BJP, which won 71 of the 80 seats in the last Lok Sabha elections
