PM May Attempts Irish Border Resolution

British Prime Minister Theresa May is far from throwing in the towel on Brexit. On Monday, she vowed to break the stalemate over her Brexit deal by insisting from the European Union a backup plan to avoid a hard border in Ireland. Reuters reports there are only a little over two months left until the United Kingdom is set to depart from the European Union on March 29, and there is no agreement in London on how or whether it should leave the world’s biggest trading bloc. May says, “My focus continues to be on what is needed to secure the support of this House in favor of a Brexit deal with the EU.”
