In 2015, a hotel in Japan opened up called Henn-na, or Strange, that was recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records for being the first robot hotel, by employing 243 robots. They made a big splash, with lots of publicity proclaiming their goal of a hotel with no human staff, and many people said, this is it! The robots are taking all of our jobs! However, it's the robots who are losing their jobs, as the hotel just laid off more than half of them for creating more work than they actually did. The Resident breaks it down.
