North Carolina's Mark Harris Demands New Election After Investigation

Reuters reports Republican Mark Harris asked North Carolina's elections board on Thursday to order a new election in his congressional race, alleging that there is evidence from an investigation of possible ballot fraud that had undermined confidence in the vote. Harris said, “Through the testimony I’ve listened to in the past three days, I believe a new election should be called." The November 6th election appeared to show Harris leading Democrat Dan McCready by 905 votes out of 282,717 ballots cast but election officials refused to identify the lead. State investigators said one of Harris' political operatives ran an illegal ballot collection program, which Harris has denied.
