According to a report by Reuters, on Sunday, several hundred protesters gathered in Moscow to take part in a small, government authorized rally supporting investigative journalist Ivan Golunov and decrying abuse of power over his five-day incarceration on drug charges. The 36 year-old reporter was released following an outcry by supporters who claim he had been framed by corrupt police. Reuters reports that an unsanctioned rally on June 12, the day after Golunov's release, led to over 500 arrests, including opposition politician Alexei Navalny.
