Rescuers raced to save a toddler swept out on a runaway inflatable duck float. It happened on Lake Michigan, far from shore. Water safety instructor David Benjamin grabbed his paddleboard to try to reach the terrified child. Before he could get to the float, the duck flipped over, dumping the little boy in the water. Fortunately, another boater was able to grab him. The incident brings to mind several other incidents involving wayward floats.
