Thousands of inmates were released today under the First Step Act. But thousands more are still in prison under laws that no longer exist. The First Step Act reformed the notorious Three Strikes Law, but did not make these changes retroactive. Dasha Burns talked to an inmate who is serving a life sentence under laws that no longer exist.
