At the Pan American Games in Peru, three-time champion and Olympic bronze medalist fencer Race Imboden took a knee on the podium after receiving his medal. While the U.S. national anthem played Imboden knelt in protest of a slew of social issues going on in America including racism, mistreatment of immigrants and what he says is a president who spreads hate. Hammer thrower Gwen Berry also took part in a silent protest during her time on the podium, raising her fist to take a stand against injustices happening in America. The U.S. Olympic Committee is reviewing the protests and the athletes may face consequences for their actions. RT America’s Steve Christakos joins Scottie Nell Hughes to discuss.
