NCAA reverses decision on ‘Rich Paul Rule’

Days after the NCAA issued new certification requirements for agents, they’re now amending those rules. Initially, agents would now be required to possess a bachelor’s degree in order to represent student athletes which drew huge backlash from many current NBA stars. One of the main critics was Lebron James, whose own agent Rich Paul doesn’t have a bachelor’s degree, felt that Paul was being targeted. The NCAA quickly amended the rules to state that no bachelor’s degree was required as long as agents are certified and in good standing with the NBAPA.
