Protesters marched in Athens in Wednesday, against new government labour policy legislation including changing the laws for calling strike action, as strikes were staged across across Greece.

Private and public sector unions, leftist and student organisations took to the streets and marched to the Greek Parliament.

The centre-right New Democracy party has been in power since July 2019, when they won an outright majority in the general election, ousting the left-wing Syriza party.
