Keeping Singapore’s Muslim community free of foreign influence

Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Defence & Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr Mohamad Maliki Bin Osman spoke about the importance of Singapore’s Muslim community charting their own path forward; continuing to stay self-reliant without need for foreign funding; and having a strong sense of ownership and commitment to ensuring that its religious teachers are credible.

He spoke in Parliament on 7 October 2019, at the debate on the Second Reading of the Maintenance of Religious Harmony (Amendment) Bill.
