Rep. Chris Stewart, R-Utah, said Americans know the impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump is “nonsense” and “unfair.” He went on to say that, in his opinion, “public support for impeachment is actually going to be less when these hearings are over than it is when these hearings began because finally the American people are going to be able to see the evidence and make their own determination,” Stewart said during a public hearing featuring Marie Yovanovitch, the former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine. The impeachment probe centers around a July phone call in which Trump asked the president of Ukraine to investigate 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden and his son, Hunter.
