Jaden Smith says that there is an educational barrier when it comes to people knowing about the crisis surrounding clean water and sanitation globally.
The actor and entrepreneur spoke with Business Insider about using tech to tackle the problems of water supply and sanitation across the world.
Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith's son made a documentary called "Brave Blue World," being released in December.
The film features prominent water activists and entrepreneurs.
It shows people globally who lack access to affordable, clean water, and how innovative new technology can help secure such access.
Jaden explains "Everybody wants the world to be a better place. But a lot of people aren't aware of what's going on, and aren't aware of ways they can help the world."
At the age of 11, Jaden cofounded Just Water, spring water packed in bottles made from plant-derived materials. He also cofounded a non-profit that creates mobile water filtration systems for the Flint, Michigan.
