Jennifer Williams, an aide to Vice President Mike Pence who listened to President Donald Trump’s July 25 phone call with Ukraine’s president, told House lawmakers that she found the call the be "unusual because, in contrast to other presidential calls I had observed, it involved discussion of what appeared to be a domestic political matter.” In the call, Trump asked Ukraine’s president to investigate former vice president and 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden and his son, Hunter. Williams testified on Nov. 19 as part of a public impeachment hearing into Trump.
