Hundreds of people took to the streets of London on Friday to protest the result of the UK general election as current Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his Conservative Party secured the majority in the Parliament.

Holding posters reading "No to racism," protesters chanted mottos such as "Boris Johnson, no way. Racist, sexist, anti-gay" and "Not my Prime Minister."

"We can accept that the tories won the election, we're no happy about it, but we can accept it. That's what the country has voted for. What we cannot accept is Boris Johnson in power. He said racist, homophobic, Islamophobic things, and we can't accept that," said a protester.

Minor scuffles broke out with the police, who pushed and removed some protesters from the scene.

This was the Conservative Party's biggest win since the 1980s with 365 seats, while the Labour party won 203 seats, down 42 from 2017.
